Allicin Supplement 20% contains a defence molecule that has a wide range of biological applications. It is produced during tissue damage from the non-proteinogenic amino acid alliin in a reaction that is catalyzed by the enzyme alliinase. Allicin is physiologically active in microbial, plant and mammalian cells, where it can inhibit the proliferation of both bacteria and fungi, or even kill cells outright, including antibiotic-resistant strains like methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

In mammalian cell lines, which includes cancer cells, allicin induces cell-death and inhibits cell proliferation. In plants allicin inhibits seed germination and attenuates root-development. However, in sub-lethal concentrations, allicin has a variety of health-promoting properties, for example the cholesterol- and blood pressure-lowering effects are advantageous for the cardiovascular system.

The use of garlic itself go back to prehistoric times as there is recorded use for more than 7,000 years. While the plant is native to central Asia, it has long been used in the Mediterranean region, Asia and Africa. The Ancient Egyptians used garlic for both culinary and medicinal purposes.

Chronic inflammation is linked to numerous health conditions, including cardiovascular diseases and arthritis. The garlic compound allicin has anti-inflammatory properties that may help modulate inflammatory responses, contributing to overall inflammation reduction in the body.

Allicin 20% supplement acts as an antioxidant, helping to neutralize free radicals in the body. Free radicals are reactive molecules that can cause oxidative stress, contributing to aging and various chronic diseases. The antioxidant properties may support overall cellular health.

Antibacterial and Antiviral

Allicin has strong antibacterial and antiviral properties and may help combat various infections, including those caused by bacteria and viruses. The antimicrobial effects make it of interest for supporting the immune system in defending against infections.

The extract exhibits antifungal properties, making it effective against certain fungal infections. It may help combat common fungal issues, such as candidiasis, and contribute to maintaining a healthy microbial balance in the body.

Blood Sugar

Some studies suggest that premium allicin may improve ins sensitivity, helping the body use it more effectively. It appears to influence glucose metabolism by enhancing the uptake of glucose into cells. It may also help to lower LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

The garlic extract is associated with cardiovascular benefits, such as lowered blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and reducing the formation of blood clots. These effects may contribute to improved heart health.

Some research suggests that garlic may have neuroprotective properties. It may help protect nerve cells from oxidative stress and inflammation, potentially contributing to the prevention or management of neurodegenerative diseases.

Anti-Tumor Potential

Some studies suggest that garlic supplement may have a potential to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and contribute to the prevention of certain types of it, including those that affect the digestive system.

The allicin supplement’s antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties may be beneficial for respiratory health. It may help prevent and manage respiratory infections and contribute to overall lung health, e.g. asthma and ch bronchitis.

Suggested use

The suggested daily dose of pure allicin is 2.5 mg – 15 mg daily. With the 20% allicin supplement powder, this corresponds to 12.5 mg – 75 mg daily. The amount is equal to 10 gram to 60 gram fresh garlic per day.
